An alternative to MCP for the majority of PrestaShop stores

PrestaSAV makes AI accessible to all PrestaShop versions, not just the latest ones.

PrestaShop's MCP (Model Context Protocol) is only available from version 8.2 onwards. However, the vast majority of production stores run on 1.6 or 1.7 and cannot benefit from it.

PrestaSAV uses the classic API Webservices, available since PrestaShop 1.5 and still active in versions 8.x and 9.x, to deliver the same AI capabilities to all versions — classification, enrichment, AI replies — with no upgrade required.

For stores running 8.2+, the PrestaShop MCP remains a viable option. PrestaSAV targets merchants who don't have access to it — which is the vast majority of the installed base.

No. PrestaSAV operates in read-only mode via the API Webservices. Your PrestaShop data is never modified. An optional feature (disabled by default) allows order status updates, which requires PUT permission on /api/orders.
PrestaSAV uses Claude Sonnet 4 by Anthropic for ticket classification and response generation. This model offers a deep understanding of e-commerce context. All prompts are fully customizable.
Yes. Both classification and response generation prompts are fully editable from the interface. A preset system lets you save multiple versions and run A/B testing to optimize results.
No. PrestaSAV generates reply drafts that the merchant must review, edit if needed, and send manually. No reply is ever sent without human approval. You keep full control over communication with your customers.
Yes. Credentials (API keys, IMAP/SMTP passwords) are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and per-tenant derived keys. The application is GDPR compliant with hosting in Europe and data isolation via PostgreSQL row-level security (RLS). All connections are secured with SSL/TLS.
